OUR MISSION

Our mission at the Restorative Justice Center is to offer Restorative Justice practices to our community in order to go beyond the divisive, judgmental mindsets of the punitive criminal justice system toward resolutions allowing for true healing and harmony, and the repair and strengthening of relationships between individuals and their communities.

Benefits of Restorative Practices in Schools

A comprehensive system of school-wide restorative discipline policies and practices with clear definitions of behavior and consequences is in place and communicated widely throughout the school and with families.

TRAINING TOPICS

Conflict Resolution Skills Training

Conflict resolution is the process of settling a dispute, disagreement, or other conflict between two or more parties.

Mediation Skills Training

The staff will learn the mediation process and steps to help others resolve their conflicts or disagreements.

Implicit Bias Training

The staff will learn how their implicit bias can affect their interactions and relationships with children/youth.

Trauma Informed Care Training

Trauma Informed Care also emphasizes physical, psychological and emotional safety for both consumers and providers, and helps survivors rebuild a sense of control.
